  • What is the Oak Ridge Chamber Ambassador Program? 

    This program is a public relations opportunity which will help increase the visibility of your organization, and the Chamber in the business community. The Ambassadors play an integral role in the Oak Ridge Chamber's member retention and recruitment by serving in the following ways: 

    • Act as liaisons between the Chamber and its members
    • Welcome new members and engage with current ones
    • Assist with event planning
    • Attend events to "meet and greet"

    Ambassadors receive additional exposure and recognition at events, the Chamber's e-newsletter, and the Ambassador's page on the Chamber's website. Ambassadors have quarterly networking meetings where they also receive professional development opportunities.

  • Established in 2022, The Ambassador of the Year Award is awarded to a person who participates in the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program that exemplifies volunteerism, attends chamber functions, such as Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, Ground Breakings, etc., volunteers for Chamber activities, is very active among the Ambassadors, and is willing to help with any activities that may come along.

    The recipient of this award is chosen by the Membership Director and Ambassador Board Liason.  The winner is rewarded a ticket to the Chamber's ExtraORdinary Gala, and the announcement is made during the event.

    The 2022 Ambassador of the Year was Misty Mchone with IRIS Networks!
